Nico is a veteran industrial operator and scale-up specialist with over 15 years of experience in advanced materials and large-scale infrastructure. He has a proven track record of bridge-building between proprietary technology development and commercial-scale industrial execution.​

  • Industrial Scale-Up & Capital Formation: As the longtime CEO and current Vice Chairman of Urbix, Inc., Nico led the company from its inception through its commercial evolution. He successfully raised over $165 million in equity capital and secured a prestigious $125 million U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grant to build domestic battery material capacity in North America.

  • Critical Mineral Midstream: He is a recognized expert in the "clean-tech" processing of graphite and other battery-anode materials. His leadership at Urbix was instrumental in developing the next generation of North American supply chain resilience for the EV and energy storage sectors.

  • Large-Scale Project Execution: Nico has managed more than $6 billion in mining EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) projects. His background at M3 Engineering & Technology provided him with the technical rigor and estimation expertise required to deliver complex, multi-billion-dollar resource initiatives.

  • Sovereign & Strategic Partnerships: He specializes in aligning private-sector technology with public-sector strategic interests, navigating the complex intersection of government grants, strategic joint ventures, and global industrial stakeholders.
